Curse of Superman

Anyone who is fan of 'superman' knows how powerful and genuine, he is but just in fiction. In real, 'Superman' is just an imagination of it's creator but as a kid, i always dreamt i could fly like him 'up up high in the sky'. Anyways, i fly around a lot in my dream and i feel like superman when i get sensation of being flown within that part of world.

I watched almost all movies Superman I,II,III,IV played by Christopher Reeve and they're so wonderful. After that, no major release of this character has been seen until the latest "the superman returns" played by Brandon Routh. Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh, these two actors looked so similar and i felt they're lookalike to each other. Christopher Reeve died few years ago and his untimely death, it has it's own cause, be it superstition or not. Many believed that there is curse behind this character. Anyone who acted as "superman" had been engulfed into so many troubles. They all had same fate, unnatural death. May be this generation is not ready to accept this but so many actors, well-built and most suitable for the role, turned down the offer.

But this new daring actor Brandon Routh has once again relived as a superman and brought smiles to superman fans.

Now, the time will tell us if this curse is for real or is it mere superstition. Whatever it is, the chemistry between clerk kent viz superman and reporter Lois will always be there.

While searching net for this 'curse of superman' thing, i read an interview where Brandon Routh was asked by Kate Wright as ,"
Wright: Some people have said that Superman is cursed, are you worried about that at all?
Routh: I don't live my life out of fear, so no I'm not… "

Besides, for fun sake, if someone is willing to create his/her own super hero, one can do online here. Create your own superheroes at:

My need for speed

Lately, i felt my PC being little clumsy even after a whole day of defragmentation, startup file customization etc. And, the list of hidden processes growing which i hardly could terminate because of it's utility. My old system with configuration like 2.2 GHz Intel Processor on 845GV ECS motherboard running a very old video card Geforce 5200 128MB with 512 MB DDR-SDRAM and couple of PCI cards on it. On storage, it's 80 GB harddisk with 6 partitions. Running windows XP with lots of background programs sitting as icons on taskbar,it's like more than 20 icons, definitely slowing down my PC down. So , my definite need for speed started to grow.

There were two options infront of me : A) Either stick with the same old configuration except partial upgrade(like some more memory) OR B) Upgrade the Entire System.

Sticking with Option A was good for me, because i was short in budget. If i would have opted for Option B, i'd have Core 2 Duo compatible board with latest PCI-e slot for graphics & high bandwidth DDr2 memory banks with other future proof features which most of us never care about.

Even when i bought my 845GV motherboard, i thought it was future proof, since i could upgrade my processor to 3.0 GHz HT and Memory to 2 GB RAM. But, with the entry of latest technology, all those my future proof things have started to fade somewhere. Dual-core,Quad-core,DDR-2,PCI-e already invaded teh market. How could i be looked like a fool to see these charmas and be happy with my old configuration. So, within myself, i convinced even if i couldn't afford them, i would gain a few score of speed no matter what on my system.

So, i chose Option A, since it's budget friendly to me. I was supposed to buy DDR for my system at first place. I headed towards Newroad, junction of all latest gadgets and gizmos in KTM, at least. And, i stepped into my favourite local dealer's shop. In fact, Bishnu dai(a local dealer) is so easy person while i've anything to upgrade my system. He would let me have new items, deposit my old parts to him and at certain minus-plus, he would adjust the bargain and i'd get some upgrades in my system. But this time, i slightly changed my dealing. I didn't give him my 256 DDR RAM, instead i bought 1 GB DDR RAM for wholesome price of Rs 4800, kept old one to myself. He was ready to get my old 256 DDR for Rs 1100(which i bought for Rs 2400 few months ago) and he told me without hesitation,he'd sell it for Rs 1700. His way of doing business.

Now, my system got new 1 GB+256 MB RAM altogether and everything is quite speeder than before except for graphics processing. This is making me search fo AGP card. I'm okay with Geforce 6600 GT or 7300 GS 256 MB if found. But, seeing dominance of PCI-E video cards in market, i'm not so hopeful getting it. But tommorrow, i'll be definitely hunting store by store trying to get it.

May be it'll take couple of years for me to experience those dual core or quad core system. Right now, it's way too expensive to own.

Mail A bullet ??????????

I was just surfing around when i came upon this really funny site. Well the basic idea here is to threaten your foe by Sending a bullet through mail . You can even write your foe's name in the bullet (in two language) . Well the site has been created as a joke and it has been clearly stated in the disclaimer section.

" The threats created by this script are not serious. They are an artistic statement following the recent threats of politicians in the Netherlands.

project-euh cannot be hold responsible for any serious fears or threats.

If for some reason you have a problem with this script and the mails it sends, please tell somebody.

In case you don't know anyone, use the contact page. "

You can send the bullet from this link :-

Google Talk MultiMessenger - A simple Trick

We've used MultiMessenger Like Gaim or some other thirdparty clients like that to access same IM(or many) network through many user IDs at the same time and from the same computer. Normally, we're not allowed to do but with the help of some third party multi-messenger, we can access more than one account or different IM account from single interface.

In Google Talk, for this multi-messenger purpose, there is a little trick. I've two Gmail Ids and while One is Logged it, to connect from another ID, i apply this in run(click Start->run):

Syntax:
drive:"(Google Talk path)" /nomutex

eg:
"c:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex

and second instance of Google talk will start allowing me to log in from there, second time from the same computer.

Hope that helps to people who has more than one Google ID.

Playstation 3 officially launched in India

Blue-ray Disc,Wireless controller,60 GB hard disk, internet Connectivity, 40 times faster than PS2,watching movies/video, music, play old as well as new games and more and it's priced approx. NRs 63984 without taxes. Now, this is expensive than XBOX 360.

Masaru Tamagawa,MD of Sony India, saw lots of potential in India for it's PS3 console and hence it's launched few days ago. PS3 60 GB edition has already been launched in America, Europe and now in India. The only way to get this thing in Nepal is to use Indian transit.

Only few companies are interested to launch their products in cities like ours or may be countries like ours. Since, our economic conditions and market niche are not according to their suit. We're the most suffered since we've to import them, cover all those transport cost along with taxes and without enough authorised support. If they get damaged,we've no support but to give it to some third-class repair center. That's why buying branded products with no authorized reseller and not enough warranty is a risky job here.

Well, i envy when companies launch products in India. Poor Us, Poor our reliant economy and system.

Work-In-Progress, Solar Powered Handset

Its really fascinating to witness the upcoming technology with old concepts which in return gives more comfort and ease of use. Who would have guessed some company manufacturing Cellphone based on AAA sized battery? and now, Motorola, is in a process to give it's cell phones an ability to squeeze power from the heat of sun rays. Well, it'd be LCD powered Solar panels. It's not a wonder coz we've been using Solar powered Calculator already during our SLC's math exams.

By the way, it is to note that LCD will be turned on and phone will be charging its battery from Solar power. Seems quite a fiction but yeah, it'll soon become reality and needs no power cable to charge.

Windows XP in NRs 210 soon

A Recent Announcement made by well-known philanthropist Mr. Bill Gates indicates, later this Year, Windows XP and all other Microsoft Office applications will be available for just as low as Rs 210(mere $3). This plan is targeted for students and developing countries like Ours. The Windows XP and other softwares will be of stripped down version. In a question for the availability of Windows Vista for price as low as $3, Orlando Ayala, Microsoft's senior vice doubted if it is going to run properly on low end machines of general public. So, for the time being, Windows Vista Starter Edition won't be available.

People steal because they can't afford the price to buy the product. Now, country like ours where people couldn't offer to pay for legal softwares, this step of Microsoft would definitely cut down the piracy as well as inclination towards Open Source projects too. Since, Windows XP and other Office app will be available at such a low price, who would buy pirated crack version or who would get themselve into trouble installing/tweaking indivitual settings of Opensource programs. It is the exorbitant price of Windows software, which led many people to use pirated softwares. If i get Legal Windows XP at Rs 210 rather than Rs 17000, who'd consider thinking other way.

The main motto behind this, is to double the number of computers users in the world by 2015. May the initiative of the software giant, Microsoft, be fulfilled and in return the people of developing country could take these benefits.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a wireless technology named after Denmark king HERALD BLUETOOTH. Sony Ericsson, a swedish, mobile manufacturing company owns Bluetooth Technology.Bluetooth lets wirelessly send/receive a files across the devices. The range of the bluetooth is not very high while transfering files. It's just around 20 meters or so.

Connecting bluetooth device to another bluetooth enabled device is pretty easy. Enable bluetooth service on both devices and they recognize eachother. Now, sending files is as easy as cakewalk. Select Transfer method as 'bluetooth' and rest is easy. For eg.: One bluetooth-enabled phone can be connected to another bluetooth-enabled phone this way.

For connecting bluetooth phone to Computer has a bit different procedures than phone to phone procedures.

Bluetooth Phone would need a bluetooth support in other end,i.e on PC. Definitely PC would have a USB port, so, we need a USB bluetooth dongle to give PC a Bluetooth Support. When both sides have Bluetooth support to talk eachother, rest is not so hard.

Our only requirements would be:
1)Bluetooth Dongle(which is priced at around Rs 400 for Chinese-made)with driver CD. Install provided driver on computer, plug in the USB dongle, restart the computer

2)Enable Bluetooth Option in Phone set

3)As soon as bluetooth driver in computer is properly loaded, the software of Bluetooth dongle starts seeking a nearby devices. It'll find your phone set(whose bluetooth is enabled).

4)Now, both devices are connected. During which you may have to supply with the 4 digit same security codes on both sides. Give your choice of code.

5)Getting files from phone to PC: Driver Software on PC will show the default folders of mobile phone. double click any of the folder, select files to download, rightclick and copy. And paste to any folder in PC.
Sending Files to phone: Drag and drop the files from PC to the 'Phone names' detected by Driver Software. And files will be sent.

How Past Had Seen The Future Of AI (Artificial Intelligence)

This stuff is kind of old but still is really interesting.
I read the whole text in just 40 minutes . Yes it was that interesting.
Hope you will like it too .

===== CAN MACHINES BE CREATIVE? =====
We naturally admire our Einsteins and Beethovens, and wonder if
computers ever could create such wondrous theories or symphonies. Most
people think that creativity requires some special, magical "gift" that
simply cannot be explained. If so, then no computer could create - since
anything machines can do (most people think can be explained.

To see what's wrong with that, we must avoid one naive trap. We mustn't
only look at works our culture views as very great, until we first get good
ideas about how ordinary people do ordinary things. We can't expect to
guess, right off, how great composers write great symphonies. I don't
believe that there's much difference between ordinary thought and
highly creative thought. I don't blame anyone for not being able to do
everything the most creative people do. I don't blame them for not being
able to explain it, either. I do object to the idea that, just because we can't
explain it now, then no one ever could imagine how creativity works.

We shouldn't intimidate ourselves by our admiration of our Beethovens
and Einsteins. Instead, we ought to be annoyed by our ignorance of how
we get ideas - and not just our "creative" ones. Were so accustomed to the
marvels of the unusual that we forget how little we know about the
marvels of ordinary thinking. Perhaps our superstitions about creativity
serve some other needs, such as supplying us with heroes with such
special qualities that, somehow, our deficiencies seem more excusable.

Do outstanding minds differ from ordinary minds in any special way? I
don't believe that there is anything basically different in a genius, except
for having an unusual combination of abilities, none very special by
itself. There must be some intense concern with some subject, but that's
common enough. There also must be great proficiency in that subject;
this, too, is not so rare; we call it craftsmanship. There has to be enough
self-confidence to stand against the scorn of peers; alone, we call that
stubbornness. And certainly, there must be common sense. As I see it, any
ordinary person who can understand an ordinary conversation has
already in his head most of what our heroes have. So, why can't
"ordinary, common sense" - when better balanced and more fiercely
motivated - make anyone a genius,

So still we have to ask, why doesn't everyone acquire such a combination?
First, of course, it sometimes just the accident of finding a novel way to
look at things. But, then, there may be certain kinds of difference-in-
degree. One is in how such people learn to manage what they learn:
beneath the surface of their mastery, creative people must have
unconscious administrative skills that knit the many things they know
together. The other difference is in why some people learn so many more
and better skills. A good composer masters many skills of phrase and
theme - but so does anyone who talks coherently.

Why do some people learn so much so well? The simplest hypothesis is
that they've come across some better ways to learn! Perhaps such "gifts"
are little more than tricks of "higher-order" expertise. Just as one child
learns to re-arrange its building-blocks in clever ways, another child
might learn to play, inside its head, at Fe-arranging how it learns!

Our cultures don't encourage us to think much about learning. Instead
we regard it as something that just happens to us. But learning must itself
consist of sets of skills we grow ourselves; we start with only some of them
and and slowly grow the rest. Why don't more people keep on learning
more and better learning skills? Because it's not rewarded right away, its
payoff has a long delay. When children play with pails and sand, they're
usually concerned with goals like filling pails with sand. But once a child
concerns itself instead with how to better learn, then that might lead to
exponential learning growth! Each better way to learn to learn would lead
to better ways to learn - and this could magnify itself into an awesome,
qualitative change. Thus, first-rank "creativity" could be just the
consequence of little childhood accidents.

So why is genius so rare, if each has almost all it takes? Perhaps because
our evolution works with mindless disrespect for individuals. I'm sure no
culture could survive, where everyone finds different ways to think. If
so, how sad, for that means genes for genius would need, instead of
nurturing, a frequent weeding out.

===== ARE HUMANS SELF-AWARE? =====
Most people assume that computers can't be conscious, or self-aware; at
best they can only simulate the appearance of this. Of course, this
assumes that we, as humans, are self-aware. But are we? I think not. I
know that sounds ridiculous, so let me explain.

If by awareness we mean knowing what is in our minds, then, as every
clinical psychologist knows, people are only very slightly self-aware, and
most of what they think about themselves is guess-work. We seem to build
up networks of theories about what is in our minds, and we mistake these
apparent visions for what's really going on. To put it bluntly, most of
what our "consciousness" reveals to us is just "made up". Now, I don't
mean that we're not aware of sounds and sights, or even of some parts of
thoughts. I'm only saying that we're not aware of much of what goes on
inside our minds.

When people talk, the physics is quite clear: our voices shake the air; this
makes your ear-drums move -- and then computers in your head convert
those waves into constituents of words. These somehow then turn into
strings of symbols representing words, so now there's somewhere in your
head that "represents" a sentence. What happens next?

When light excites your retinas, this causes events in your brain that
correspond to texture, edges, color patches, and the like. Then these, in
turn, are somehow fused to "represent" a shape or outline of a thing.
What happens then?

We all comprehend these simple ideas. But there remains a hard problem,
still. What entity or mechanism carries on from there? We're used to
saying simply, that's the "self". What's wrong with that idea? Our standard
concept of the self is that deep inside each mind resides a special, central
"self" that does the real mental work for us, a little person deep down
there to hear and see and understand what's going on. Call this the
"Single Agent" theory. It isn't hard to see why every culture gets attached
to this idea. No matter how ridiculous it may seem, scientifically, it
underlies all principles of law, work, and morality. Without it, all our
canons of responsibility would fall, of blame or virtue, right or wrong.
What use would solving problems be, without that myth; how could we
have societies at all?

The trouble is, we cannot build good theories of the mind that way. In
every field, as Scientists we're always forced to recognize that what we
see as single things - like rocks or clouds, or even minds - must sometimes
be described as made of other kinds of things. We'll have to understand
that Self, itself, is not a single thing.

My Tips and Tricks for Faster Windows XPerience

These are my very few personal tips and tricks for faster windows XP. Hope it helps other somehow.

.Optimize Internet Connection in Windows XP.
.For faster XP
.Manage Virtual Memory
.Quickly change Folder Settings

Optimize Internet Connection in Windows XP.
1. Start->run and type 'gpedit.msc' without quotes
2. Expand 'Local Computer Policy'
3. Further more expand 'Computer Configuration'-->'Administrative Templates'-->'Network'-->'Qos Packet Scheduler'
4. Now, under 'Qos Packet Scheduler', double-click 'limit reservable bandwidth' option and enable it.
5. On 'Setting' tab, change 'Bandwidth limit %' to 0.

By default, 'Bandwidth limit %' is set to 20 and that's because QoS(quality of service) services reserves 20% bandwidth for it. Disabling this service won't either help. The best bet is to enable this service and set 'Bandwidth limit %' to read zero. I'm sure, next time, the internet will be faster than before.

For faster XP
1. Either Press '[Windows] key+[Pause/break] key'
or
Right-click 'My Computer' in Desktop and select 'properties'
to launch the 'system properties' dialog box.

2. Click 'Advanced' tab and under 'Performance' label, click 'Settings'.

3. Click 'Visual Effects' tab and select 'Adjust for Best performance' option. Similarly click 'Advanced' tab in the same row and make sure 'Programs' option is selected for Processor scheduling and Memory usage.

4. click 'OK' two times

Manage Virtual Memory
1. Either Press '[Windows] key+[Pause/break] key'
or
Right-click 'My Computer' in Desktop and select 'properties'
to launch the 'system properties' dialog box.

2. Click 'Advanced' tab and under 'Performance' label, click 'Settings'. click 'Advanced' tab and under 'virtual memory', click 'change'
(Let me reiterate about Virtual Memory. Virtual Memory is not a physical RAM but a virtually created memory by windows. Windows lets us manage our memory requirement efficiently if we know how to use Virtual Memory. Eventually, it's said system with high Physical RAM won't need to bother with Virtual Memory Settings but i don't agree. No matter how big is his/her system Memory, sooner or later, it has to deal with Virtual memory due to bad memory management of programs we run in our system. In windows, Virtual memory is also called as pagefile and normally it can be seen as 'pagefile.sys'.
One rule that i always consider is, if my Windows XP is in C:, i never keep/set virtual memory on it. Pagefile often get extended/contracted in size while running programs. So, my best bet would be to keep it in different harddisk, if not, on different partition of the same harddisk other than C: (where XP is installed).
By the way, the place where Virtual Memory is going to be set, it must have enough space on it else it's of no use to create Virtual Memory their.
Now, i've 512 RAM, my Windows XP is in C: and i created my Virtual Memory in D: . I set Initial Size to 768 and Maximum Size to 768 also. This settings allow me to use my programs efficiently.
If one has only 128 MB RAM, he/she can set his Initial Size as 512 MB and Maximum Size to 1024 MB also. The only rule is don't set the virtual memory in same place where OS is installed. )

Quickly change Folder Settings
1. Start->Run and type 'control folders'
or
select 'folders option' from the 'tools' of 'Windows Explorer'.

2. make sure 'use windows classic folders' and 'open each folder in the same window' are enabled under 'General Tab'

3. One can tweak lots of settings from 'view' tab too. I think it's as easy as cakewalk out there.

SUPER COMPUTER

What makes SuperComputer a super Computer? Unlike fictional heroic character SuperMan, there do exist SuperComputer. The unimaginable processing power of such computers is what make them super from other normal computers. The followings are few of the facts based on SuperComputers.

1. The performance of supercomputer is judged using the LINPCK benchmark, introduced by Jack Dongarra.

2. Blue Hene is the nickname of the new supercomputer from IBM that would be 1000 times faster than Deep Blue.

3.The four most powerful supercomputers in the world are owned by government agencies or universitites. Japan's Earth Simulator Center is listed as the world-record holder at 35.8 teraflops.

4. Seymour Cray, creator of high-end computers, whose vehicle was tested against accidents by his own systems, could not save himself- he died in car crash.

5. A supercomputer executes a single program much faster than a mainframe. But mainframes are considered more powerful because they support more multitasking.

6. Amongst other uses, supercomputers are used for weather forecasting animated graphics, nuclear energy research and petroleum exploration.

7. General Motors has purchased an IBM supercomputer, the companies say is the fastest in the automotive industry. The new supercomputer, based on IBM's Power4 and power5 technology, more than doubles the computing capacity of GM, and is expected to slash the amount of time it takes to get a vehicle to market from four years to 18 months.

8. Autommotive companies including Ford, Toyota and Daimler Chrysler own 12 of the 500 fastest supercomputer in the world.

9. MIPS stands for 'millions of instruction per second'. This is a measure of the speed at which a computer can perform programmed instructions.

10. The fastest supercomputer in India is the 574-CPU cluster at Intel, Bangalore.

11. 'FLOPS' refers to ' floating point operations per second', and represents the speed at which a computer can perform mathematical calculations( like multiplication and division). Researchers making use of high-performance computing tend to be more interested in this number than in MIPS or the more familiar clock speed MHz rating. The MHz rating is not particularly useful here, as high- performance computers can perform several million mathematical operations per cycle.

12. Since it went operational in 2001, the Japanese Earth Simulator has consistently claimed the top spot in the list of the world's most powerful supercomputers. It has been benchmarked at a speed of 35.86 TeraFLOPs/sec.

13. Apple powers the world's third most powerful supercomputer-viginia Tech's X is a cluster supercomputer that contains 1100 Apple G5 systems each having 2 IBM Power PC 970 processors rated at 2GHz. Each node has 4GB of main memory and 160 GB of serial ATA storage and 176 TB total secondary storage. The maximum computing speed benchmarked is 10.28 TeraFLOPS/sec.

14. The first fully transistorised supercomputer was the CDC 1604, designed by Seymour Cray in 1958.

15. The nine other supercomputers in the list of top 20 supercomputers are located in the United States, apart from Japan's Earth simulator.

16. As of November 2003, there were seven 'cluster' supercomputes in the top 10 list, and just three traditional 'stratospheric' supercomputers. Two hundred and eight systems on the top 500 supercomputer list are classified as clusters, making them the most common architecture in the top 500 supercomputers in the world.

17. Cluster supercomputers are made up by clustering a lot of computers and connecting them through a high speed network; traditional supercomputers-the 'stratospheric' ones- are monolithic and have several CPUs working in parallel, using shared memory through high speed interconnects. Industry analysts often say that clusters cannot provide very high performance and this makes for interesting new-since clusters are now predominant.

18. CDAC's ParamPadma cluster supercomputer was ranked in June 2003 as the world's 171st fastest; by November 2003, it fell down to 258 with newer and more powerful supercomputers entering the list.

19. "Central Iron" is slang for a centrally funded computing resource. The CNS IBM RS/6000 Rack is an example of central iron.

20. The Berkeley Computer Corporation was formed in 1968 to build a supercomputer that could accomodate up to 500 users at a time.

21. India's fastest supercomputer is an Intel Xeon cluster owned by Intel, ranked at 105 in the world, in November 2003.

22. 50 percent of the top 500 fastest systems are installed in the United States. Also, 90 percent of all 500 systems are produced in the United States.

23. The US Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory has commisioned Cray Inc. to build the world's fastest supercomputer. This 50-100 teraFLOPs machine should surpass NEC's 35 teraFLOPs Earth Simulator and allow the US to regain the top spot in supecomputers. Cray's supercomputer will require 12 megawatts of dedicated power!

Google Talk - Host of all other IMs like Yahoo,MSN HOTMAIL,IRC etc. HERE's HOW??

Most of Gmail users still don't know about google's 'Google Talk'. 'Google Talk' is an instant messenger for Gmail users. I think instead of rambling myself more on it, it's better to check http://talk.google.com

The reason of this blog post is " to make Google talk intereact with hotmail users ". I mean how to enable Google Talk be able to send/receive instant messages across different other IM networks like AOL,YAHOO,MSN.
So, if i want to talk to my hotmail ids from my 'Google Talk', here are the steps.(but before that i'll brief the synopsis of this tutorial.
-I came to learn Google Talk is built on the Jabber protocol.
-We'll be using IM client based on Jabber protocol other than Google Talk.
-On that IM client, we'll be using our gmail account settings. It's possible, since Google talk runs on same jabber protocol as i wrote earlier.
-from there, we'll connect to other Jabber server, which allows us to connect to our choice of IM networks using Transport service. For the time being, don't bother around what this 'Transport' is.
-At the end,it's simple. Getting into Google Talk account through other Jabber IM Client, access to Jabber Server, from there use special Transport for different IM networks and then into that IM network.
-With this, we are virtually be able to talk to everyone from other IM networks through Google TALK. )

Now the steps:

1) First Download that other Jabber Client. It's called Psi. You can visit and search for the client yourself in http://www.psi-im.org/ or just click http://jaist.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/psi/psi-0.10-win-setup.exe to start downloading the Psi Jabber Client.

2)Download and install it. As soon as installation is complete. A dialog box pops up asking our account details as follows:

In the Name field: type 'Google Talk' for example. make sure the Register New Account option is not checked.(we already have gmail account, don't we). When we're done, click Add button in this dialog box.

3)The Account Properties dialog box appears.

Select the Account tab, then enter full Gmail address into the Jabber ID field. (don't bother with the password, we've to do it only when asked later).
Now, select 'Connection' Tab from the same 'Properties' dialog box, check all the options there and type "talk.google.com" in host field with the default port number "5223" and click Save.

4)Now, in the Psi Main window, Right-click on the account(eg.Google Talk) we just created and
select 'Status'-->'ONLINE'

Give gmail password in following screen. It'll connect to the Gmail account through this Psi Jabber client. (Be sure, Google Talk is signed out)

Again, in the Psi Main windows, Right-click on the account(eg.Google Talk) we created and select'Service Discovery'

In 'Service Discovery'dialog box, enter any of the public Jabber server into the Address field and hit 'Enter' key.

Note: Now public Jabber servers are the main factors here which offers transports for all instant messaging networks. Not all Jabber servers provides transport for all Instant messaging networks, but most of them. Now, one can find public servers at http://www.jabber.org or i've listed them myself here like:

im.flosoft.biz
indigo3.net
infonetghana.com
intar.web.ve
intellijoin.org
jab.undernet.cz
jabber-hispano.org
jabber-hispano.org
jabber.3gnt.org
jabber.ambrero.nl
jabber.anywise.com
jabber.autocom.pl
jabber.bglinux.org
jabber.bluendo.com
jabber.burningboard.net
jabber.cc
jabber.cc

for more and updated server list http://www.jabber.org/user/publicservers.shtml

5)Now, after filling the server detail and hitting Enter Key, it'll start showing the available Transports for IM networks in that particular server. (in my case, i wanted to use hotmail id, so i'd be using Hotmail Transport). Lets wait for a minute.

Now, from available Tranports, select choice of transport. In my case, it's to deal with Hotmail. So, i'll right-click 'MSN Transport' and select 'Register'.

Now, have to give my hotmail address and password and click Register.
It will start fetching all the contacts from the my hotmail account to Google Talk account.

6)Once, all contacts are fetched from the selected IM network, now it's time to deal with the contacts to add to 'Google Talk' account. Right-Click on every hotmail ID fetched and click the Add/Auth button to authorize each contact. Then, once all contacts have been retrieved, exit Psi.

7)Next time, when we run 'Google Talk', there will be lots of contacts waiting to be invited on our Google Talk list. Accept them all and now there are all friends with hotmail ID within Google Talk. No more fuss to sign in to Msn Messenger or any other IM client so far.

8) So,it's Google talk using Jabber Server which gives us 'Hotmail transport' allowing us to add Hotmail users in 'Google Talk' list and so the life goes. Indeed, we took a help of Psi, a jabber client for all this to happen.
