The GPRS serviced I used belonged to SpiceNepal's MeroMobile and I've given comprehensive tutorial on my old blog regarding 'how to surf Internet on desktop using GPRS enabled cell phone. '
If you like to see that thread, it's here http://infotechnepal.wordpress.com/2006/10/31/how-to-connect-your-pc-to-internet-using-meromobile-gprs/
And, I firmly believe, all my Nepalese friends using GPRS of MeroMobile have been greatly benefited by my tutorial. More than 10,000 people have read that thread alone.

Well, sorry I bounded out of topic. My verdict: SAY NO TO NT(C), (please don't think I'm endorsing SPICE NEPAL, I'm no way affiliated to them, I came to this decision, because, I started using NT's PostPaid and later I had to switch to MeroMobile. This is just my mere perspective as an end user of both services)

May be their(NT) landline is okay and been longtime, but wireless service sucks bigtime..Navinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16172164523025063796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-18471253439605505062008-01-17T21:27:00.000-08:002008-01-17T21:27:00.000-08:00I also agree with Navin. NTC has launced wcdma-tdma based 3G standard but it is listening that the standard is being used as like that of 2G or 2.5G, minusing all the features that it has. We know, it's not the standard's fault rather the provider who service it.
AND I don't think 3.5G is a distant dream becuase Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-64386759522848358332008-01-17T13:57:00.000-08:002008-01-17T13:57:00.000-08:00even if someone brings it(unlocked) to Nepal, it'l...even if someone brings it(unlocked) to Nepal, it'll be used only for calling, ..nothing more than that ..

minus GPS..
minus HSDPA..
and soo..

I agree with you Speed broNavinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16172164523025063796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-83195274404091779182008-01-17T08:32:00.000-08:002008-01-17T08:32:00.000-08:00To folks out here in Nepal its a distant dream for...To folks out here in Nepal its a distant dream for now.Nirab Pudasainihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04102672476221214792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-8629087672854516642008-01-17T08:28:00.000-08:002008-01-17T08:28:00.000-08:00High Speed Packet Access (HSPA)is Based on UMTS pr...High Speed Packet Access (HSPA)is Based on UMTS protocol. It is divided into two standars: HSDPA (downlink) and HSUPA (uplink). HSDPA can also be called "3.5G" and has theoritical data transfer rate of around 10 Mbps. So with this standard multimedia and streaming vedios will be main focus. I dont think there are many service provider for this standard but the most of new high end phones are HSDPA capble.Nirab Pudasainihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04102672476221214792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-45584614687927851752008-01-16T09:32:00.000-08:002008-01-16T09:32:00.000-08:00That's trueThat's trueNavinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16172164523025063796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-13291716017917014722008-01-15T21:16:00.000-08:002008-01-15T21:16:00.000-08:00Uh, I was wrong. "HSDPA, ...Hi Yaya, it's one step up to 3G standard.

"HSDPA, is an abbreviated form of High-Speed Downlink Packet Access which is a new protocol for mobile telephone data tranmission. It is known as a 3.5G (G stands for generation) technology. Essentially, the standard will provide download speeds on a mobile phone equivalent to an ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) line in a home, removing any limitations placed on the use of your phone by a slow connection."Navinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16172164523025063796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-67865486623877345232008-01-10T05:16:00.000-08:002008-01-10T05:16:00.000-08:00this phone is sooo coool! i want one!this phone is sooo coool! i want one!walizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13405655057219506869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-33997213104362639312008-01-10T01:11:00.000-08:002008-01-10T01:11:00.000-08:00wat is 3.5G anyway, i mean the different btwn 3G?i...wat is 3.5G anyway, i mean the different btwn 3G?

its very cool actualy n i think that u must have to own that too, soon its come out, rite? hehe.yayahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10640804150787542241noreply@blogger.com
