I'm not promoting my religion, but Buddhism says whatever we do in this life we've to gain/suffer accordingly. I think this is the main motto of every religion if i'm not wrong.

I'm not a saint but from what i've learnt, people tends to remember previous life's memories, it's because, the eternal force that we call soul takes prints of current life's memories. I don't know if that's true or not, but i've read/seen so many cases where people really really know about their last lives.

Bro, scientists are not perfect and they don't have answers on many many things( but i do admire them). Technically, when there is no oxygen and blood flowing to brain, we are dead. When we die, all the things that brain has stored for ages is also gone and vanished irrecoverably. This is what science says. It's right to some extent. But science has no answer why people take rebirth. And when they really take rebirths, science usually denies the fact or opposes with it's own logics. Science gives logics only limited to it's knowledge, it can't go beyond that. So, i don't care seriously if science takes it something else or denies the fact.

I've read in a book with a proof, a scientist bothered with this life/death re-occurance and soul, he experimented on a nearly dying person. He was kept in a vaccum container glass. He died. Only a part of the glass was broken afterwards. There was a difference in weight of the body before dying and after dying. Now, here science fails. The body shouldve gotten it's original weight even after his death. But no, and that scientist was the first to weigh the weight of soul. It was the fact bro. Soul surely does exist.

You wondered how one feels when he/she dies. But i wonder how these organs keep moving, why these blood pump, what is making heart pump the pure blood, why is pulse moving? why is there to be connection of brain and flow of blood/oxygen to oneselve to keep alive when there are organisms without brains and still alive, moving. When i read these science logic, it may be half correct but not full. Because, it can't answer all things. Thats where we take help of religion. And i strongly believe, it's a force that keeps moving all these bodily parts and fluids. It's that eternal power that drives human lives and that power/force , i tag it as SOUL. The difference between dead and alive body, it's the soul. If we puncture the air tight tube, air gets released and tube becomes useless.

Have you heard of great lamas taking rebirth intentionally? those kid lama don't need to study a,b,c,d of their script. Since they've acquired those knowledge in previous lives, they only take reference in their current lives. Thats where many doctors, scientists, westerners have no answers. Moreover, those re-incarnated lama can tell about places exactly which they've never been to before in their current life. So, scientists do pray to GOD, doctors do pray to GOD, it's beyond their reach and unanswered things that's compelling them to believe, there is GOD, a force, a power. I too believe in god.

This is my second life. Once i had a terrible accident and my head was about to crush under the tyres of a pickup. I felt athatmoment death was so close,so nearly. There i felt immense fear of loss of my loved ones. It was a blink. That was an attachment which were to go in vain after I would die. But, thanks to God, my time was not over yet. So, these days, i've no such feelings like crying/weeping even when some near/dear dies. That's the fate someday we've to face. So,i already accepted the fact and fear no death at all.

If we study dharma, i think we can get answers to so many things which scientist are unable to answer. We should have certain beliefs else living life would be worthless.

i think i didn't bore you with my own ramblings either
thanks btw.

yours was an interesting read too. i really liked itNavinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16172164523025063796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-16291737637045755462007-06-30T00:52:00.000-07:002007-06-30T00:52:00.000-07:00It's really confusing but facinating trying to und...It's really confusing but facinating trying to understand what happens when we die isn't it :). For some reason the blood to the brain stops and the brain dies and we cease to exist(although some cells in our body still remains alive for some hours). Now if we go scientifically it's very very hard to tell what happens after that. Combining religion it only gets more confusing. Lets talk about soul. Religion says every living things have soul, dogs cats everying living entity have soul. Now from science we come to know that dogs and cats are not the only animals. Lets talk about microscopic animals, amoeba, paramecium, those single celled animals. Do they have soul too. Now going more microscopic, lets talk about viruses, those in between the line of living and non-living. Do they also have a soul? Now religion says when a living being dies, it's soul comes out, they are judged and goes to heaven or hell(or somewhere else). That's what most beliefs say. Now this becomes confusing again, by the definition of death in cases of living things with a nervous system, the brain has to be dead to consider it dead and according to religion soul is a very pure form, it can't be destoryed and it's immortal, it's in degradable, untouchable, etc (refer to the poem deha ra aatma of Grade 10) now how do you picture a soul? a form of light? but can't be seen( and many contradictions here). However we know a soul isn't material things(say mass), that is it's anything but a 'body'. Now we all know the brain stores all the information a guy can remember all memories ,emotions etc etc. And when the guy dies, the brain is dead that means all his memories are wiped out. Now accourding to religion, after death, how is the guy's soul judged(keeping in mind soul is a pure entity and it's the body that commited all good or bad deeds). Next, how is a dog or a cat judged , how is a virus judged? How was Hitler judged?(Hitler knew what he did was right in his own way, does that mean he went to heaven?)
So much confusion.(and sorry for being off topic)
This is how I come to realise, it's all the game of the mind and the minds of the people. It's not god that created people, it's the people who created god. And when the mind ceases to exit, its all over, everything we see touch hear experience love is over and doesn't that mean the world that we know is also over?(it may not be over right after you die but time won't matter as you do not exist in this dimension and I know everything that every existed will have to perish, even god)
It's confusing and may be sad(but somehow i get motivated by this) but it's as true as truth can get.. atleast I think so.
Lastly, thanks for reading my blabbering :)Binayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16782138861993889194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-49180134669598269972007-06-29T06:32:00.000-07:002007-06-29T06:32:00.000-07:00binay, very impressive. But to me world is something which is not illusion and this is not as perceived by our brain. , the world is something that exist till when we are alive, but as soon as we die, world too dies, right? anyway, that is i think right to some extent.

once we die, it's just a switch off as of just one computer shut down in entire world networking. That doesn't mean , entire network doesn't exist.

anyway, sun has it's age, so do earth too.

i agree with you, i too don't expect to see it happens in my time of living.Navinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16172164523025063796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5394084093351784815.post-4153297592674336252007-06-28T06:19:00.000-07:002007-06-28T06:19:00.000-07:00I think the end of the world is inevitable. If you...I think the end of the world is inevitable. If you've watched 'The Matrix', the auricle says "everything that has a beginning has an end". I think it's the same with every living or non living being present in this universe(and may the rest of the parallel universe :D). I kind of take that line as a universal truth.
But I seriously doubt that I'll witness the world ending. Do you think that earth that existed for XX billion years is gonna end in (say) a few decades? The religious prophecies are completely based on trivial matters that are never true.It kind of makes me laugh when people get frightened by such nonsense.
But I do have this other theory by the way of the appocalypse(or whatever) and this is my own. :)
What I think is, the world ends and when you cease to exist, when you die. When your mind dies then what exists as a world with people and things will vanish for it's the mind that makes all these illusions. May be, you'll go to hell or heaven (or just wonder about haunting people), that state will be defined by what your mind just thinks before you die. And this is inevitable as you'll have to die. But it's most of the time upto you for the world to end or exist. Weird, but that's what I've made up after combining science, god, death etc. Think about it, though I think I haven't made is as clear as I could.Binayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16782138861993889194noreply@blogger.com
